It would go on to become the foundation of esports (electronic sports) and the force behind the online streaming medium Twitch. This global phenomenon began in the modest South Korean internet cafés known as PC bangs.
GAMECHANGERS: Dreams of Blizzcon enters the unexplored realm of professional esports through the eyes of two of the world’s top StarCraft II players.Follows two South Korean gamers getting to blizzcon. It’s a bit unfocused, preferring to show that the gamers and esports as a whole is a legitimate sport and thing to be watched, rather than taking an in-depth dive into a part of gaming - eg the culture of the game or how it affects the players as they grow through the ranks. The concept of retirement is interesting but, again, unexplored.
