Film Reviews | 2024–53. Robot Dreams (2023) Review. September 17, 2024.The animation style was simple, but the vibrant colors and expressive characters were anything but basic. A very strong opening act and ending, but the second act while entertaining, had limited value-add to the overall story. These scenes very well could be used in an argument that this was a short film stretched out to be feature length. There were plenty to love here and the overall themes and story are powerful, but too much felt like excess.
