The crux of The Sea Beast comes upon realizing that both parties -- humans and sea beasts -- want peace. The issue comes from the royals and Hunters who spread rumors and propaganda to strengthen the kingdom.The issue is that it isn't true. As one character says throughout the film, it's possible to be a hero (as Hunters are) and still be wrong (as the war is).
