Highlander is an excellent insight into the world of science-fiction in both the past and present. In the beginning, Macleod (Lambert) wasn't aware of his 'special gift' until his encounter with Ramirez (Connery) in 1541.I watched this film for the first time in about 15 years, and it looks awfully old fashioned. The women seem to be in a competition to see who can scream the most, and have no real part in the film, except as victims.
