Who would love this
- ♥Fans of classic spy thrillers, intricate plots with twists, and stylish, auteur-driven filmmaking would likely enjoy "Mission: Impossible." Viewers who appreciate suspense over constant action, and directors with a distinct visual and thematic signature, will find much to admire.
Who might not
- ✗Audiences looking for a straightforward, action-packed blockbuster with clear heroes and villains might find the film's convoluted plot and moral ambiguity frustrating. Those who prefer more character-driven narratives with overt emotional warmth might also be less engaged by the film's focus on espionage and deception. Some fans of the original TV series were also reportedly upset by the portrayal of Jim Phelps.
