I’m hiding out in the comments because I haven’t finished the whole series… but I saw this clip circulating on tik tok and it made me want to watch the show. It’s so rare that any media quite nails that emotional manipulation, abuse, and trauma induced by churches. It was so intense and well portrayed in this scene.
