TV News. Riz Ahmed’s ‘Studio’-Esque Prime Video Comedy ‘Bait’ Drops First Look. The six-part series follows the Brit as struggling actor Shah Latif, whose world implodes when he finds out he's in the running for James Bond. The series is produced by Jax Media and Amazon MGM Studios. The 43-year-old Ahmed is best known for his breakout role in Nightcrawler opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, and later Star Wars‘ critically acclaimed Rogue One. He won an Emmy for his performance in HBO’s crime drama The Night Of (2016) and an Academy Award nomination for 2019’s Sound of Metal.
Unexpectedly moving Lucky enough to see the first three episodes at Sundance. Riz Ahmed introduced the show. It is a comedy, and episode 1 is the funniest. The Bond/media hype premise is great and the insecurity spiral feels painfully believable. Episode 2 is weirder and didn't totally work for me. But episode 3 really got to me.
