The series opener offers viewers a brief overview of the inner workings of the DMV, but it fails to deliver sufficient grounding for a truly distinct narrative.
The DMV part doesn't interest me too much, but The Office was about a paper compay and no one cared about that. The end of the first episode sets a sweet tone, as Harriet's character Collette experiences hope after being beaten down.
