I can’t recall an instance where Schitt’s Creek reduced a character of color to a stereotype, when that’s pretty much all that Arrested Development does to its characters of color. Where Arrested Development shows Lucille and George as neglectful and tearing their children (and each other) down at every turn, Schitt’s Creek shows Johnny and Moira reconnecting with David and Alexis and supporting them in both their personal and professional successes.
I re-watched the show once before I started trying to devour everything I could find Schitt's Creek-related (the addl content on YouTube, podcasts, this forum) and those things made the show even more re-watchable. Specifically the Up Schitt's Creek podcast which is 1-to-1 with the show's episodes.
