“The Muppet Movie” is a classic family comedy that follows Kermit the Frog as he journeys across America with his sights set on Hollywood stardom. In the process, he befriends the other iconic characters in the Muppets lineup for the first time. During his adventure, Kermit tries to evade the clutches of Doc Hopper, the persistent owner of a frog-legs restaurant, who wants nothing more than for Kermit to sell his product. The movie came out in the late 1970s as Jim Henson’s “The Muppet Show” was really beginning to hit its stride.
